fall at the sandy river delta
i was trying to take a very specific photo for my trust project this week. sadly, the wind and the leaves and my camera did not align properly, thus there is no trust photo at all. but i was outdoors and it was not raining and fall was in the air, so i was still a happy happy girl.
the lovely thing about having a place that i visit regularly is that i get to watch how it changes with each season. i know we can see this in our own neighborhood, but somehow the changes seem more visible to me when they occur in a place that i see often, but not daily.
do you have a place like this?

these pictures have the same dreamy distant look that one might find in an old book of poetry in the library… with that slightly musty cool smell of autumn leaves.
they’re simply beautiful.
i need to find my place. and return often.
i haven’t one right now. but i did. and it was a soul freshener.
happy monday elizabeth!

You have totally captured the fall feel. And I do think there is an element of TRUST as you watch the seasons inevitably change…. our changes are undoubtedly less dramatic than yours, but to the observant eye, they are definitely there and I love seeing it!
I do have a place like this and visited it over Thanksgiving and fell in love with the changing terrain and how the shedding leaves revealed hidden trails and glimpses of a winding creek that I had forgotten all about.
