in winter, the world is a wonderland
i grew up in the land of winter. in many ways, it is during winter that i feel most alive.
there are moments when i am on my snowshoes or my cross-country skis and the world around me is nothing but blue & grey & white & green – that i think winter just might be my new favorite season.

Snowshoeing *is* fun! I wish you could come for a snowshoe hike in Narnia with me.
We are (staying warm, that is)! It’s been a really nice winter. Atlas is even venturing into the deep snow (when it’s soft), which means it must be really warm. (By which I mean the 20s, of course. Ha.)
How beautiful – good that you make the most of it much better than hiding away indoors, although being out in the cold does make you appreciate going back into the warmth. Have a good weekend.
Oh, yes. There is nothing like a warm blanket or hot cocoa or a nap (or all three) after playing outdoors. What a wonderful reminder!
It is Atlas’ favorite season too?
No. Although this winter has been warm enough that he is not minding it!
