moments, memories
i have a gratitude journal on my iphone. every night before bed, i write (type) a list of tiny moments of gratitude.
like the sunlight reflected by the stained glass window that reminded me of a rainbow-edged wing.
or the miniature acorns that were hanging on a snow-covered evergreen as if they were nature’s own christmas ornaments.
or my first (and so far, only) latte art heart.
or the snowflake trail i found in one of my photos after an afternoon spent watching fat fluffy snowflakes fall to the ground while atlas tried to follow the scent of a rabbit.
i like the act of collecting these moments.
they remind me that a simple life can be full + rich + wondrous. even when my mind tries to convince me otherwise.

and i’m grateful that you share visions and thoughts like these with us.
and your little barista heart? perfect!
as is your own.
xo
nose kiss to that silver boy.
Speaking of baristas, the last we heard you were training to be a barista. It looks like the training was a success.
It’s still ongoing! Next week might be my last week of training. I was told the latte art part takes at least six months, but I can get the occasional tulip now, which is supremely delightful.
Hi, Elizabeth.. and Happy New Year! What a wonderful idea–your digital journal! Very much enjoyed catching up on your posts, lovely images and musings…I’m sorry to be so slow. Too much fun & feasting… LOL! ;o) Many thanks for this, and your beautiful blessing for the New Year in your previous post… Oh, but you’ll never guess… I’m reviving the blog. Yes, and I was away sooo long… LOL! I’m claiming a woman’s prerogative, and more…What can I say? ;o) Happy Days… Wishing you heart’s content and dreams come true… ((LOVE & HUGS))
Haha! I love it! Love that that was what came through in the silence – and that you are listening.
Elizabeth, it’s so nice to stop by your blog. I so often feel that simple wide-eyed wonder when visiting here. It’s palpable. Yes, life can be wondrous when we don’t believe all the mind’s dire forecasts and pronouncements.
Mmmmmmm. Hand on heart thank you. Sharing wonder is one of my goals, so your words landed sweetly.
And oh, the dear dire pronouncements of the mind. I know them well. (Whenever I hear them, I wish I could immediately remember that I am generally wrong about everything.)
