to mark rothko, with love
{an extremely irregular series: tribute the first, tribute the second, tribute the third.}
dear mark rothko,
your paintings pierce my heart.
your paintings nourish my spirit.
your paintings express the inexpressible.
i wish i could send my deepest appreciation to you on a radiant shooting star. but i believe that love is everywhere, and that our souls never die, so i trust that you feel it, everywhere you are.
you inspire me. always.
in gratitude,
your (not-so-secret) admirer
beautiful tribute.
he’s smiling no doubt.
because you get it.
You said it so well, Elizabeth! I could echo you sentiments… his works seem to reflect parts of my heart and soul, and I just find that amazing! But that’s what great art does, doesn’t it–reflects parts of ourselves we often find hard finding words for? Happy Days :o) ((HUGS))
Tammy: I hope he is!
Tracy: “reflects parts of ourselves we often find hard findings words for” ~ yes, yes, yes! You stated that so simply + beautifully.
