i know dandelions are considered weeds, but i love them. they are so bright and cheerful. i think of them as tiny cousins of the sun, peeking out between grass blades, turning their cheerful faces toward me. as far as i am concerned, they are here to make our days even brighter.

I felt a little out of balance yesterday. I now realize what it was. I did not get my weekly dose of Atlas. I trust all is well.
Oh yes. Atlas is very well. He is back in his spring mode of starting every day with a giant salad of wet grass clumps. I have to drag him away before he eats his weight in it. He is very silly.
The dandelion is a flower-friend to me too…so LOVE this image! :o) Happy Days, Elizabeth ((HUGS))
we are kindred spirits.
i have always loved the dandy lion.
and i don’t consider them a weed at all!
and if you’ve never been given a little bouquet of them by a precious small child ~
well. it’s special.
though my gramma taught us to “leave flowers alone! learn to appreciate them growing.”
a fine and wise lady. xo
and elizabeth…
‘cousins of the sun.’
what a delight!
I’ve always like them, too. And I love when my boys bring me bouquets of them in spring and early summer.
Ann: They would make a beautiful bouquet – especially in a clear glass!
Tammy: I have a hard time picking them myself for just that reason. It’s easier to buy them already picked at the market.
Tracy: Happy days! I hope you’re feeling better over there.
I love dandelions, too! They really are so very cheerful. And they smell so green and summery to me. Also, they’re one of the most nutritious “weeds” around, if you can find some that don’t have any pesticides on ’em!
What is that quote?
A weed is no more than a flower in disguise…
Indeed!
I love them too. It will be a month or so before I see them here though…I do believe I saw some green grass poking through yesterday.
