being, not doing
i was practicing being, not doing, when i came across this quote, which seemed like a beautiful reminder. apparently it is a zen proverb.
“Sitting quietly, doing nothing, spring comes, and the grass grows by itself.”

What? The world continues to move without me pushing it?
Ah…lovely! Today I’m trying to at least practice stillness of body, even if my mind is not so still as I “worry” about my family & friends on the East coast today. This was just what I needed to keep some perspective today, Elizabeth :o) ((HUGS))
jerry makes me laugh every time.
and i’m like tracy. i’m a ‘worrier.’
when it comes to hurricanes and people i love anyway!
and i tend to be a ‘world pusher.’
thank you for reminding me.
i love this quote. and all of lao tzu’s really. i don’t know why it’s so hard to
remember to live by them. but for me it is.
